We have a Library full of awesome books. I'm sure you will find something that you would like to read.

We also have a selection of puzzles and games that you can play during those cold and wet lunchtimes. Hopefully not too many of those just yet!

The Library is open every lunchtime. I look forward to seeing you there.

If you have any suggestions of what you would like to see in the Library, just let me know.

This week is Maori Language Week, looking in particular at Maori Language in the Community. Have a look at the display in the Library and have a go at matching up the words. You will know them.

Monday is the 40th anniversary of the very first Moon Walk, and no it doesn't have anything to do with Michael Jackson! Have a look at this display as well. There are also some activities for you to complete.

We have a great selection of new books this week. Something for everyone. Come and have a look at them.

Remember if you have got an overdue book, you will not be able to get another book out. We have got an awesome collection of books in our Library and it would be a real shame if you aren't able to read them. So get those overdue books back.

HAPPY READING.

Waimate Centennial School Library

Welcome to Week 8 and we are expecting a polar blast!
Time to get your books sorted so you will have something to do inside!

Thank you for all the Library surveys that I have got back. They have given us lots of ideas as to what kinds of books you would like in the library and what other activities and equipment you would like in there. It is a work in progress!

We have a mixture of new books this week. Two lovely picture books. Read 'The Snaggle Grollop' it's great.
There are also two new Graphic Novels - 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and 'Rumplestiltskin'.
There are two very moving books in the 'Street Life' series. One is about growing up on the streets of Brazil and the other growing up in an area contaminated by the Chernobyl disaster.
These are not particularly 'nice' books but very thought provoking. Making us realise how lucky we are to live in New Zealand.

ENJOY YOUR LIBRARY. REMEMBER I WOULD LOVE A COMMENT!
